Changes at Revel Casino Hotel

So it had to take Revel losting $111 million dollars during it’s first year in operation, and it coming in second to last in revenue for May 2013 to realize it had to rethink it’s marketing strategy? It was running on the “build it and they will come” mindset. Yes, it is a beautiful resort, unlike anything else in Atlantic City, but without reasonably priced restaurants and comp deals, who will come? Revel Resort has officially changed it’s name to Revel Casino Hotel. The new marketing strategy will now include print and TV ads, and more focus on gambling. This July, their promotion includes paying back your slot losses if you gamble $100 or more. The refunds will be credited to your Revel player club card starting in Aug. at 5% per month. This will encourage players to come back over the fall and winter and play. They are also looking to change out some of the higher priced restaurants for some more reasonably priced options. They have added Ruff at Revel,their pet friendly option, and they are adding a high limit slot area and player club lounge. I guess Revel Casino Hotel finally realized that it is a casino property and needs to cater to gamblers. Hope it works.
